Hey there, my name is Philip Cunningham. I have been a follower of Jesus for the past 38 years, married for the past 20, and have three amazing daughters. For the past 25 years I have worked in the non-non-profit world, specifically YWAM (Youth With A Mission). In 2011 I co-founded Steps of Justice as a response to God’s heart towards the poor and vulnerable.
I have a bachelors degree in Christian Education through Briercrest Bible College and a Masters Degree in Social Social Justice through Kilns College in Bend Oregon. I have been teaching in schools and YWAM campuses for the past 19 years, teaching on Gods heart for the poor and how we can partner with Him to show His love for those in need. I have a passion for interactive teaching, bringing an awareness of the injustice that is in our world and introducing people to creative ways to respond to injustice with Gods heart and our actions. Over the past eight years I have taught in Montreal Canada, Winnipeg, Hawaii, Norway, Switzerland and Mexico.
During my non profit career I have set up, hosted and lead short term teams to over 12 countries, bringing clean water, building homes for the poor and running sanitation clinics in the name of Jesus love for humanity. My family lives and works with in San Diego, serving the refugee community though the avenue of education and personal relationship.
I truly believe that love can and will change the world. I would love to come to your church or school and share how this can be a reality. God has called us, His followers, into all the world to preach His good news, though words and actions.
