I am excited to tell you that we are working on some new Steps Of Justice Prayer and Action steps that will start one week from today on Monday January 17, 2011. In short, we are going to be doing ‘justice steps’ one day a week for the next 3 months.
I am helping out with the YWAM DTS program down in Tijuana, Mexico for the quarter. The theme of the school is justice. I am involved by providing and facilitating the justice acts for the school along with the rest of the campus staff and students. Each Monday we will gather in Tijuana and talk about a different injustice. Following a 10 minute talk on the issue we will spend 15 minutes in prayer about the issue. Then, for the last 5 minutes I will explain the justice act that we will be doing the following day, Tuesday. For example, next week the injustice is on Hunger. So, on Monday we will present the injustice, pray and give the action step, which for hunger is not eating. Then, on Tuesday we will go through the day not eating and instead we will pray for the injustice of a person dying every 5 seconds from a hunger related illness.
How can you be involved if you are not in Tijuana, Mexico? Well, we are going to be streaming the 30 minute sessions each Monday live on line. From 8:30 to 9:00 West Coast time each Monday you can tune in and be a part of this intercession time. Then on Tuesday you can participate in the Steps Of Justice with the rest of us by not eating, or whatever the action is for the day. We will also be posting all the info on line each week, along with comments and testimonies of what God did in and through us as a result.
You can do this as a youth group, college group, small group, a group of friends or by yourself. We are trying to make it as easy as possible for us to ‘do justice’ together. If you have any questions please let me know, but until then we will be doing some updates to the site so that it is easy for you to participate with us.
Thanks for being a part and for doing Steps Of Justice with us.
