If you were on the Justice and Worship tour this past spring and last fall you heard about Rachel, a 12 year old girl from the Seattle area who wanted to donate $300 to charity water for her birthday. Rachel only raised $220 and told her mom “we will do better next year.” Next year didn’t happen as a month later Rachel was killed in a car accident. After her death her Charity Water birthday wish was restarted and people started to talk about Rachels story. After a few months over a million dollars was raised and given to Charity Water for clean wells in Africa. This week marked the 1 year anniversary of Rachels death and she was honored in Ethiopia. Check it out here.
