The Justice and Worship Tour is heading back out this Spring! If your church or group would be interested in hosting An Evening of Justice and Worship please contact us at booking@stepsofjustice.org. Please reference the schedule here to find out when we will be in a town near you.
What is the justice and worship your about? Well, it is a tour that connects areas of injustice that exist in the world with prayer and worship. We read in Acts 16 where Paul and Silas sat in a Roman prison. They decided to worship Jesus through hymns of praise and as they did their chains were broken and the prison doors swung open wide. What we also read in this story is that not only Paul and Silas chains were broken off, but everyone in the prison was set free through their worship to Jesus.
The are 27 million slaves in our world today. Jesus came to set the captives free, this slavery must be abolished. There are 1.25 billion people in the world living on less than $1.00 a day. Jesus came to give life and life abundantly. We need to see people released from grinding poverty. 1.2 million children are trafficked across international borders annually for other people’s gain, both in labor and sexual servitude. Jesus died to set them free.
The justice and worship tour brings awareness of issues like these above, education on what is and needs to be done to bring justice and practical ways that you and I can be a part of the change by connecting you with organizations like Not For Sale, Charity Water, One Days Wages, Gems and Steps of Justice We would love to have you at one of the events if you are close. Or, if you would like to host an event please let us know by going to the site and emailing us.
Thanks and see ya on the road.
