got print

As I write this I am sitting in a tent in my back yard. The girls wanted to do a back yard camping trip, so being a dad, I agreed. Now onto the post at hand. To be honest, the last few day’s have been rough. The dude I was using for a printer (to print the prayer guides) has turned out to be a complete flake. He has  the best of intentions, but little delivery. Lots of promises of cheap prices and great service and quick production have turned into nothing. Well, I can say nothing as the other day I received 50 Steps Of Justice prayer guides, but the color was wacked and the spacing was off. I was so excited to get them, but then upon receiving them I was gutted at the results.

This was two day’s ago. Today I woke up and had a revelation. I am talking and putting out Justice guides to help move people to doing Justice in the name of Jesus Christ to the oppressed. I have been working on this for over a year now and we are this close to the end (the end of getting things out there, not the end of justice issues). I realized that this is not something that the enemy wants to see happen. By the enemy I mean Satan and those opposed to Jesus Christ. Then I realized that I had spent minimal time in prayer over this, I was to busy producing to stop and ask Jesus for favor, wisdom and his Spirit. So today that is what I did.

At 6:30 I got up and went downstairs and prayed and prayed and prayed. I prayed for favor, for the printing to get sorted and for the word to get out about what we were doing. I went to the office at 8:30 still with a heavy heart, but knowing that I had spent time with the creator and doer of Justice. That morning a good friend of mine Dr. Lars Rood (love ya man) emailed and order a whack of prayer guides for his church. Later on in the day my good friend Scott, who created this lovely site helped me find a printer online that gave a great price and could deliver.

So, now I owe $1000’s of dollars, but in two weeks I will receive 2500 Prayer Guides. They are perfect bound, as opposed to saddle stitched like I got from the other printer. They are a great price and they are all printed on recycled paper. The bad news is that if you ordered a book you will have to wait for just over two weeks to get one, but the good news is that if you ordered a book you will get one that is beautiful in so many ways.

What did I learn today? I learned that if you are going to do something for Jesus, like doing Justice you will have to spend time with Him in prayer. This project was birthed in prayer, why did I think that it wouldn’t need prayer to sustain and grow it? Well, cause I am an idiot. I am learning and thankful for grace and mercy. So, thans to you who have ordered a guide and to those of you who have not, please stop by and pick one up on the site.

Laters, Philter
