This morning I updated the Link section of this site with a media link to Call + Response. If you like music and you like justice this is a documentary for you. This film came out in the fall of 2008 and made its way across the USA calling us out to Do Justice. The film focusses on the issue of slavery in the world. It covers issues like sexual slavery, where approx. 2.2 million children are trafficked into each year. It also covers the horror of the approx. 27 million people who are enslaved in the world right now.
I remember sitting in the theater 1 1/2 years ago with Amy and my good friend Wayne, co-founder of Steps Of Justice and being taken into this world of rock and blues and injustice. In many ways the film was hard to watch as the content is heavy and discusting, but the passion of the music and bold activism of the artists kept bringing me back in.
This movie, more than any other that I have seen keeps drawing me back. The web site is amazing, the soundtrack is beautiful and the message is strong. I am attaching a clip at the end of this post as well as a link to watching it on Netflix. Please take the time to watch this film and engage with their web site. Thanks, and much love from Steps Of Justice
