72 days of freedom

Here is a post from our friends at passion.

Passion will once again raise a “Hand” for freedom on Monday, Feb. 27 as it reconstructs the 103-foot Hand art sculpture displayed and built by the tens of thousands of students at Passion 2012. The night will serve as a kickoff for the movement’s “72 Days for Freedom” campaign, which will rally people around the globe to stand up for the 27 million modern day slaves in the world. More at http://72daysforfreedom.com/.

People can participate in the “72 Days for Freedom” campaign in the following ways:
Help the International Justice Mission bring the issue to President Obama by gathering 72,000 signatures on a petition for freedom.
Download the release of Matt Redman’s new song “27 Million” that was recorded at Passion 2012 in Atlanta.
Give $1 per day for 72 days to fund freedom efforts in Atlanta and Vancouver.
Attend the kick-off event at Passion City Church on Monday, Feb. 27 at 7:30pm and watch the second unveiling of Passion’s “Hand” for freedom, prayer vigil and debut of Passion’s original short film, “Freedom: Indifference is Not and Option”
WHEN: Monday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: Passion City Church (515 Garson Dr. in Midtown).

In addition, a $1 million grant will be given away and announced Monday night toward projects that help prevent, rescue and restore victims of human trafficking. This story comes following Passion 2012 and the 42,000 college students who gave $3.3 million toward freedom from modern day slavery.
