YWAM Justice Network

Welcome to the YWAM Justice Network page on Steps of Justice. This Network is designed to bring YWAMers together who care about justice and practice justice on their campuses and in their personal lives. We truly believe that “doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God” is the call of every Christ follower (Micah 6:8). We have created the private Facebook group, as well as the YWAM Justice Network page. If you haven’t yet, please stop by, like and check it out.

Our hope and desire is to see YWAMers coming together during this time. Just think about it, a conference that you don’t have to set up, you just have to show up at. If you have set up YWAM gatherings in the past this will be a welcome relief to you I am sure. During the conference we will gather as YWAMers to debrief and hear from each other what God is doing in our own personal lives, as well as what He is doing at our YWAM locations and ministries. We see it as a time to learn from each other, see and hear what others are doing in our mission regarding Justice issues and help, support and pray for each other.

Please email Phil Cunningham if you are interested in more info regarding this time. I have talked to the organizers of the conference and they are excited about the possibility of YWAMers attending this year. They are I see it as a time that we can bring our knowledge and passion to them and also a time that we can learn from what others are doing outside of the mission. If we can gather 50 YWAMers at this conference we will get a great discount price of $112 a person. If you are interested in going please email me and we can start the registration process. All registration will go through Steps of Justice and then we will pay the conference fee for all of us.

*100% of what you give towards the conference goes to the conference, Steps of Justice does not take any of it.

We will be updating regularily with speakers/facilitators of the Justice Conference. Lets start with Eugene.

Eugene is the co-founder (along with his wife) and visionary of One Day’s Wages – “a new movement of people, stories, and actions to alleviate extreme global poverty.”

The strategy of ODW is to create a collaborative movement via integrating Human Relationships, Social Media/Technology, and the Power of Story. ODW promotes awareness, invites simple giving (one day’s wages) and supports sustainable relief through partnerships, especially with smaller organizations in developing regions. Since its launch in October 2009 ODW has been featured in the New York Times (twice), The Seattle Times, NPR and numerous other media outlets

Eugene is also the founder and Lead Pastor of Quest Church – an urban, multi-cultural and multi-generational church in Seattle, Washington as well as founder and Executive Director of the Q Café – an innovative non-profit community café and music venue.
